Wikipedia - Las Ánimas de Valdivia
Club de Deportes Las Ánimas, is a Chilean sports club based in the city of Valdivia, Los Ríos Region. The club was founded on Octubre 4, 1942, and took its name from the Las Ánimas neighborhood, located at the north side of the city.
The basketball branch is the most important of the club; boxing, table tennis, & amateur football being the other ones. The football branch played at the third level league between 1994 and 1996.
Their Liga Nacional home games are played at the Coliseo Antonio Azurmendy , also playing some of the Liga Saesa games at the Las Ánimas gym.
Les Animas, l'équipe de basketball chilienne, a été fondée en 1931. Basée à Valparaíso, l'équipe évolue actuellement dans la Liga Nacional de Básquetbol (LNB), la première division chilienne. Les Animas ont remporté 15 championnats nationaux, ce qui fait d'eux l'équipe la plus titrée du pays.
L'équipe est connue pour son style de jeu rapide et agressif. Elle compte plusieurs joueurs de talent, dont le meneur de jeu Nicolás Carvacho et l'ailier fort Sebastián Herrera. Les Animas ont également participé à plusieurs compétitions internationales, notamment la FIBA Americas League et la Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol.
